INTERIOR ARCHITECT,

ART DIRECTOR + PROFESSOR.

STORYTELLER FOR ALL THINGS SPACES, BRANDS, PEOPLE, AND PLACES.

I seek to find the connection between humanness, empathy, culture, and identity through the nuances of multi-disciplinary design practices. I spent a large part of my career designing spaces for interaction in an effort to better understand the how we each individually live our lives, focusing on what fuels human behavior and augments human potential. I’m always on the hunt for ways to infuse those same design principles into the creative work I do in architecture and interiors, branding, art direction, product design, experience design, and human-centered strategy.

I am captivated by the autonomy we have over our self-identity and the influence of fringe cultures on the built environment. My insatiable curiosity is always on the lookout for ways that design, of all mediums, can surprise, delight, and shock through unconventional and unexpected perspectives.

I currently reside in Savannah, GA where I run a my design studio Smith Hall and teach art direction, branding, and visual communication at Savannah College of Art and Design.
